These covers are both females and they are the centre of attention, there is no distracting backgrounds
On these covers. So you can tell that they are the focus and they stand out.

The covers main stories are about the women on the cover. The magazines are showing two successful females
who inspired many people. The magazine will have a story about them, what is special about them, and how they charm
in life. How they stay beautiful, and how they dress, do their makeup, and hairstyles. What makes them successful and
others can look up to them as inspirational people.

When magazines were first invented, the characterisitcs of the covers resmebled the cover a book, with just a title and publication data, and no other information on the cover. Then came magazines with only a picture on the cover, the picture itself was explaing what the article is about.

Some characteristics of old magazines are that many of the front covers are in cartoon, or of a painted or drwan subject, because cameras weren't invented yet. I also have noticed that the magazine covers are very simple, and usually have only one topic on the cover, the title, the picture, and the cover lines which catch peoples attention.

Cover lines are very important for magazine covers, becasue that is what drwas our attention to the magazine. It tells everything, and goes laong with the picture. If it was just a picture, i wouldnt be too interested. On magazines i see in the grocery store, i stare at them becasue the cover lines make it look so intersting. Something that says this person is pregnant in big bold letters, just catches my eye, and i read the cover. This is what makes people intersted into reading the articke inside.

An integrated cover is when the title of the magazine is bog and bold, and the person on the cover is photogrpahed of their whole body, and they are in an unusuall pose which makes the cover look very intersting.

Cover lines can greatly affect the design of a magazine cover because, besides the pictures, they are the most noticable things on a magazine. I notice them more than the title sometimes. I think this is becaasue they use words that catch peoples attention. Get shiney hair now! clear skin! A bikini beach ready body! These are what always catch my attention, becasue these words likey shiney, and clear look really strong on magazine covers. They know that this will capture to teens becasue, at least for me, i care about my skin, so it is something that i do think about already, and when there is a strong word like glowey! in front of skin, and is in bold colourful letters, this is how coverlines work. They most often lay beneath the picture, and this greatly affects the whole cover. I think it would not be as intersting if it were at the top of the magazine, say obove the title or beneath it. People do not want to read clutter, things need to be spaced out, and have balance.
